FREE resources & WRITINGS for Yoga Teachers, Students & movers
If you are searching for thoughtful writing on yoga, somatic practice, mindfulness and philosophy, this space gathers Jean Hall’s reflections, explorations and teaching insights. These essays are intended for interested movers, teachers and dedicated students who wish to deepen their understanding beyond posture and technique.
Rather than offering quick answers, these writings explore the subtle body, inner alchemy, nervous system awareness and the philosophical roots of practice and being human!
Why Your Hips Feel Tight and How to Improve Mobility
The hips are centres of wisdom, where early patterns of balance, coordination and movement begin. In yoga and qigong, they are associated with grounding and stability. When tightness arises, mobility can be restored not by forcing range, but by reconnecting to the support of the earth and gravity, rebuilding trust and allowing ease of movement to emerge from the centre outward.
Complimentary Resources
Alongside these reflections, I’ve included a small collection of complimentary practices as a gentle introduction to the work. They offer a felt sense of how breath, somatic awareness and subtle energetic attention come together in yoga practice. You’re warmly invited to download them, take your time, and explore at your own pace, simply noticing what unfolds.
