





Weekend Yoga Retreat In Kent Country Estate with Jean Hall & Liz Lark at Oxon Hoath
The yoga retreat begins on Friday early evening with the first yoga class at 6-7.30pm. The yoga class will be a flowing form & will be followed by supper at 8pm. On Saturday From 8.30 until 9.30am breakfast. At 11.15am-1.15pm there will 2 yoga classes running concurrently: a beginners & an intermediate. Both will be invigorating, cleansing & astanga based. At 1.30pm lunch will be served. At 5.30-7.30pm there will be an early evening soft hatha yoga class introducing pranayama (breathing practices) & yoga nidra (yogic sleep). Supper at 8pm. On Sunday At 7.30-8.30am, early morning yoga with pranayama, meditation & asanas. From 8.30-9.30am breakfast. At 11.15am-1.15pm, again 2 yoga classes will run concurrently: beginners & intermediate astanga based. At 1.30pm Sunday lunch will be served. 3.30-4pm informal goodbyes with tea & cake!

The teachers, Jean and Liz are both qualified and experienced yoga teachers having studied yoga in India, New York, London & Crete. They met whilst studying Masters Degrees in Performing Arts & now teach & work creatively together & individually in London & internationally. As we are two teachers it allows for all levels of practice to be accommodated… beginners to advance are welcome.
Accommodation: Oxon Hoath is a ancient country estate surrounded by 73 acres of private, enchanting & tranquil gardens & woodlands. It was built over 600 years ago by Sir John Culpepper as a royal park for deer & oxen. Today it still retains its timeless magic as a retreat centre. Cuisine: will be vegetarian, macrobiotic & mostly organic. Special diets can only be catered for if 7 days notice is given.

HOW TO GET THERE… Oxon Hoath, Oxonhoath Road, off Carpenters Lane, Hadlow, Kent. Tel: 01732 811071/ 0498 623486 If you are travelling by train: The nearest stations are Tonbridge & Hildenborough. Trains to Tonbridge run from London Bridge, Charing Cross & Waterloo East every 15-20mins. Trains to Hildenborough run from London Bridge every 30mins. The journey time is approximately 40mins station to station. Meridian Cars on 01732 355757 are based in Tonbridge & will take you to Oxon Hoath in Hadlow (15min drive) for about £15. If you are travelling by car: Get onto the M25 & at Junction 5 take the A21 (SOUTH) towards Sevenoaks. After 10 miles take the A26 towards Tonbridge. Stay on the A26 through the outskirts of Tonbridge & follow signs to Maidstone & then to Hadlow. As you enter Hadlow on the A26 turn sharp left into Carpenters Lane, just past the Prince of Wales pub on your right. Stay on Carpenters Lanes (bearing left at the 2 forks) for a couple of miles then turn right at the little crossroads into Oxonhoath Road. The house is signposted about 500 yards on the right, land marked by a white Tudor-style cottage at the entrance of the estate. Follow the drive over 2 cattle grids until you see the house on your right.
Arrival & Departure Times: Come for about 5pm Friday so you can settle in. The first yoga class will be at 6pm. The retreat finishes on Sunday at 4pm.
What to bring: Please remember to bring your own personal yoga mat, straps & blocks if you need/have them. Also a warm blanket for savasana/relaxation & a cushion for meditation would be helpful… as will walking shoes/boots & outdoor clothing for field walking.
